Its the holiday season!

December craziness, the holidays, the shopping, the snow!!  Not to mention having our roof replaced - I feel sorry for the guys who have to be up there - my son needing his wisdom teeth out, tearing up the master bedroom of the house....... thank gawd my studio will remain intact and I will have somewhere to hide out!

I have been busy making holiday cards too.  I recently got the lace tree folder for the cuttlebug which makes the cards a snap.  That and my MS branch punch have been figuring prominently this year.

If you haven't already finished your christmas list, I'd like to suggest a product that I think should be on it.  Its called the Glue Glider.  I became aware of this tool through Sharon's blog which if you've never visited, is a "must see"!  I have coffee with her every morning.  Currently she is celebrating on her blog with some awesome blog candy, check that out if you have a minute!

Back to the Glue Glider........
I have been on the look out for an adhesive solution.  I love using 3M double sided tape, but was spending a small fortune buying the rolls.  I also really like the red liner tape, but again could never get enough tape for the money I was spending.  Then Sharon posted about the Glue Glider.  I had been considering getting the ATG gun, but they are expensive and as I understand they are cumbersome to re-load.  I decided to try the Glue Glider.
From my research I found it would be inexpensive to purchase, easy to re-load and the cartridges come with plenty of tape 65 feet actually, for $6.75!  So I bought myself one.  I found the best price for me at Stampin Scrapin so I got the gun and two replacement cartridges.  When it arrived I was thrilled to find out that it is all I hoped it would be - lightweight, easy to use, great adhesive and won't take up much space on my table!
I'll get off the soapbox now.  Check this out and see for yourself.

Great gift idea!

Thanks to Lisa Johnson of Poppy Paperie.  If you haven't visited her blog you should, her work is amazing.  I found this project there and decided to give it a try.  I am quite pleased with my results.  The back of each of the ovals is a magnet, punched from the freebie ones that you get in the mail and my husband insists on saving!  To remove the advertisement on the front I carefully pried up a  corner and then heated it with my heat gun to help me peel off the paper.  I created the monogram with my JustRite Stamper - I am seriously loving that product - and punched it out with my pink scallop punch from Marvy.  I computer generated the quote and used the same punch on that piece.  To try and make it a little more durable, I put paper glaze over both pieces before I glued them to the magnet.
Now that I have the hang of it all, I think these will make really great little gifts and we all know the holidays are coming!
enjoy!
